I wonder how well this third red scare will go considering the first two and the efforts (unsuccessful) to label Obama a Communist and Socialist.

The median age of Americans is 38 years old, give or take a few months. The Soviet Union collapsed at the end of 1991. That means there is probably close to half of the American people that have no living memory of any sort of existential communist threat. And it probably goes over 50% when you factor in people in their early to mid-40s (like me) that only have the vaguest of memories of the communist threat of the 1980s.
