They are not typical Republicans, they only pretend to be so they can get easily on the ballot.
For the most part, they are Libertarians and just like to shit-stir. If siding with trump helps that, they’ll do it. But mostly they just like being contrarian.

So it appears we have a conflict of definition. I can’t distinguish your description from today’s typical Repug. (Maybe that comes of living in CA, where they’re even more batshit than the national standard.)
