Charles… Were you ever friends with John Cole when you guys were at PJM? Do you follow him at all, and if so, do you think you’re kind of on the same path as him?

I like John Cole and remember him crediting Charles for realizing how insane the right has become.

John Cole is a good man; not many people of his longevity in the Blogisphere are willing to admit that they had been wrong on a centrality of their philosophy. Back when he made the shift (or in the words of Mr. Furious: “saw the light”), Balloon-Juice was a fascinating daily read. The shame is, even though the place aligns more with my views now, it’s not as fun to comment there anymore. Of course, the lack of Charles’s custom blogging software is a real disincentive too!
