One note - I do think many “doomers” try to rush world events, often by decades and maybe even centuries. All human systems eventually fail, all societies fade away, all civilizations wane - yet, sometimes it takes a millennium, in other cases a century. It doesn’t, however, happen in a year (unless there is a physical catastrophe.)
