I haven’t met any Bosnians ever. What those people went through is one of the most mindboggling things I ever read about. Cracked had an amazing article from a Bosnian survivor’s perspective. Anyhow despite the historic bad blood between Orthodox and Catholics in the region, my Slovene-American grandfather’s best friend was a man of Serbian descent. They got along well and bonded over the tales of how people from both their parents’ countries resisted the Nazis and Axis during WWII.

I’m guessing the anti-Christian attitudes that would have manifested itself with Serbs and croats slaughtering them would have existed had not been for the efforts of many churches in America, Canada, and Australia, to name a few, that aided in efforts in helping them flee from the carnage.
