I wouldn’t actually believe him if he said it. Would you? There’s no way to talk yourself into being qualified for the court after doing that. We have too many well-behaved men and women who are qualified.

I’d believe him, because he’d know in doing it that he was probably killing his chance to be on the Court.

I’m a believer in redemption*, but that requires confession and contrition.
