I had a problem with the President who lied us into Iraq. I had a problem with the President that despite the virtues of all those MBAs you tell us about got us into the worst economic recession of my lifetime. I had a problem with the President who lied about us torturing people. So yeah NRO I did despise Bush. You’re right. You totally got me. I’ll take my record over yours in recent history. Your publication has apologized for Jim Crow using Dixiecrat rhetoric to defend it, your publication justified Apartheid because your founder Billy “Elitist for no reason piece of shit” Buckley didn’t think black people were capable of self-governing, your defense of awful judges masquerading as “umpires” like Roberts and Kavanaugh and before him those awful judges called Scalia and Bork. Your publication is a farce and the truth of it is you’ve always been. You were founded as a McCarthy apologizing and the only reason why Buckley condemned the Birchers is because he was obsessed as you are about conservatism in this country having some kind of positive image other than the shit show it’s been from the time that conservatives defended loyalty to the crown in 1776 to 2018 where you defend Trump simply because you don’t like that we on the left criticized Bush from 01-09 when he totally deserved it.

i have a problem with any president who does not believe in liberty and justice for all
- who does not act to demonstrate that we are one country
- where everyone matters and has equal standing
- regardless of any attempt at categorization (‘race’, religion, gender, political views, economic status, age, location, lineage….
