My linguistic totalitarian impulse is a mighty one, and when a fellow like LVQ - with whom I’ve frequently disagreed, and with whom I often agree - is making a good point, the slightest little thing can ruin it for me. Even as a soprano with a head-cold does not ruin the musical genius of the aria itself, but only its execution in one instance, so, too…..
