I’m going to say that a Norwegian Spec Ops attack like what happened to Bin Laden is needed. Of course, we would have to transfer munitions to Norway, as they drained nearly everything they had (Aircraft Wise) on Libya.

Norway did 10% of all the airstrikes in Libya. They did a way-outsized contribution to that war. Just as they resisted disproportionately compared to their size in WWII.

Spec Ops wouldn’t have good enough odds of working, Assad’s got too much firepower near to hand. If the SF force got got bogged down, even for a short time, reinforcements would arrive and swamp them through sheer weight of numbers.

Better a surprise bombing attack by B-2s. That would have a much lower risk level.
