The ammunition I chose for work is .45acp Glaser or Remington Golden Sabre hollow points. I really have to count on them being stopped by the first object struck as best I can. I got neighbors on all sides at home and work. FMJ is a very bad idea AFAIK.

If having a black rubber custom grip or sight or more accurate barrel can get you in trouble, then the law or it’s application has become questionable to say the least. There has got to be some mid point between SYG and a high capacity magazine making you be presented as some vigilante in waiting by a prosecutor if you shoot some guy in your house that was forcing his way to the kids room.

Please nobody get the idea I support SYG in public. I don’t. I hew to the SCOTUS principle set long ago. SYG with reasonable force applies at home, at work and (depends on details) on your land IMHO.
