I don’t think it’s partisan, per se.

I actually think it’s that Woodward has drifted further right, into wingnut territory, in recent years.

His comments today/yesterday (ho, Intertubes!) about President Obama ignoring elements of the sequester implies he’s not an objective journalist anymore.
