I know I am A Old when my kids explain to my grandkids how they used to get on the Internet in the olden days using a modem that made a SCREEEEEEEEE when it connected.

That was the modem we had from about age 5 (Prodigy!) to 11 or 12ish. I forget exactly when we got cable.

My parents didn’t bother to enlighten me that cable Internet also meant the Internet was always on and they didn’t have to log me in. It took me far longer than it should have to figure that out.
