One thing I respect more than anything else in Judaism is the serious study of Torah and Talmud by everyone. The idea of serious study got lost along the way and it has hurt Christianity tremendously.

I’ve never done any serious Talmudic study… but we’re told repeatedly that the whole point of it is debate and interpretation and rebuttals of Torah portions. That there is no “right” answer, it’s the considering all possibilities that’s important. The Torah is short enough you could read it in a few hours; the Talmud is so huge you’d never get through it all in an entire lifetime.
