The OT God is such a massively manipulative asshole. He’s just putting on a puppet show using people for his own entertainment. Which honestly makes a lot of sense in that it fits right in with the polytheistic Greek, Sumerian and Babylonian contemporaries. Life is mostly just a bunch of random shit that happens so it probably helps to think everything is due to the vagaries of bored omnipotent fuckwits.
