the issue of herd immunity is not researched, it is not clear whether infection gives permanent immunity, not to mention the other long-term effects. but heck, just get it over with and get back to work!!!

Herd immunity: get 50% or more (or more like 70-80% infected and this serves as protection).

That means that instead of the fraction of the population that has already been exposed, which is well under 10% of the nation’s population, we’d have to see 5-7 times the number of deaths? We’d be talking about half a million deaths from a disease that could be stopped if everyone social distanced and masked up.

That’s the idiocy right there. Sweden tried the herd approach and failed. UK too.

Only Trump and his brain dead base are pushing this nonsense, because wearing masks infringes on some nonexistent right.
