I have to confess I am experiencing high levels of anxiety due to these GOP efforts to reverse the results of the election. The only thing helping in the infamous 3 states (WI, MI, PA) is that the governors are Democrats, but the legislatures are Republican and there is no perfidy that is beyond their capacity. The FB Trumpster with whom I engaged a couple days ago was very certain that the election results would not stand and it appears that he may have been aware that throughout this nation members of the GOP are diligently working to destroy our Constitution and impose a white supremacist autocracy on all who remain here.

Someone talk me down from the ledge.

I think the solidest point to make against the likelihood of the GOP state legislatures in these states stealing their states’ electoral votes for Trump is their public statements that the will of the voters in their states will prevail. This has been said at least in PA.

Now of course since these people are Republicans, we have to take the possibility they are lying very seriously. If they are lying, the plan is obviously to do a last minute “shock and awe” substitution of the electors in multiple states just before the EC vote on Dec 6. IMO that scenario ends up with GOP legislators getting their guts yanked out by angry mobs, and I think they know that.

IMO if they were going to switch electors, they would be talking it up as a real possibility to give time for their enablers in the media to normalize the idea. God knows that works too damn well in nearly all cases. That’s not happening.
