I’m just curious why he thinks these actions will help him when it comes time for reelection. He seems to be relying on the idea that Democrats will have no other choice. Eventually, Democrats do get tired of that.

Unfortunately it’s true, and Manchin may be planning to run for Governor. The next Senator from WV will be a full fledged member of the Q Caucus. This is a hiccup. A deal will be reached, and the bill will pass.
