There’s a fundamental flaw here: this is not a debate about two personalities, it’s a debate about being President of the USA. Differing standards for different candidates are bad enough, but it’s missing the point that the only bar should be the minimum standards to be President.

Given that the President is the head of state of the USA, lowering the bar of the President’s character also lowers the bar of the world’s expectation of US citizens. To give a UK based analogy, imagine a referendum where the UK decided to replace Queen Elizabeth II with Queen Katy Hopkins.
