A scumbag-vs-scumbag match where neither side wants to budge. Sessions clearly is refusing to resign and wants to be fired; Trump clearly doesn’t want to fire Sessions and is showing that he will totally undermine his authority** if he doesn’t resign.

** Which is kinda significant, as Sessions’ most heinous and unpopular policies he wants to see implemented get undercut further. And that can’t sit well with the RWNJs who are counting on Sessions to see them through.

Either way, this could be going on and on for longer than we think.
