I think the reason why W isn’t an asshole to Obama is Obama showed respect to the position they both held. I’m not a W Bush fan but he doesn’t strike me as personally petty or vindictive. Quite unlike Cheney who engaged in the otherism of Obama plus Cheney’s daughter is a big supporter of Trumpism in Congress.

GWB strikes me as a decent enough (but slightly fucked up) guy who got promoted a few levels over where he should have. If 9/11 doesn’t happen, he’s probably a decent enough one term president; but once the planes hit, he was out of his depth.
