I sure hope so. Even having to defend himself in court is more trouble than the rich usually face in the US for their crimes.

But if these cases go to trial, there’s going to be a hell of a problem with jury selection. No jury with a Trumpist true believer on it will convict, and I don’t think attempts to keep Trumpists off juries with challenges from the prosecutors etc. will work with the necessary accuracy.

I cannot remember the case or the defendant (Manafort maybe?) but there was a trial that included Trumpsters on the jury and they returned a guilty verdict, because they took their responsibilities seriously. Maybe that is no longer true and such jurors would now be too brainwashed. But let’s hope truth and justice will prevail.
