My wife’s parents were in their 40s when she was born. Her brother is 20 years older than her, the same age as my parents. That child will be raised by grandparents.

My only kid was born when hubby and I were 43 & 42 — his mom had two great-grands older than the last grandson. Having a baby at that age, not so much a problem. Chasing a three year old at 45, now that takes good knees.

On my mom’s side, one of the aunts married a man who had a brother twenty years younger. The younger brother married his sister-in-law’s niece. Makes genealogy interesting.
