Indeed, he showed “concern” after Obama’s press conference, which of course was later in the day from his appearance on Rush the Hutt’s show, where he openly declared that the point of getting the Senate framework out yesterday was to beat Obama to the punch so that, when negotiations inevitably fall through because the base is going apeshit, the GOP has an “escape hatch.”
