Gin is such a fascinating and complex liquor. I know some people hate it but I adore it. My favorites (there are two, one for complex notes and one that is pure juniper) come from Vancouver, BC, and Ridgeway, CO, respectively.

We may be planning a trip to Vancouver so I can stock up because that one is not sold stateside yet.

I have never been big on Gin, give me a good sipping rum or tequila any day. My dad’s favorite drink has always been genever, which is sort of the precursor to gin. For a long time you couldn’t find it in the states so he always used to bring a couple bottles back when he visited family in Portugal. Lately it is becoming easier to find over here especially at some of the higher end liquor stores. Don’t know if you have ever tried it, but it is much like gin and he swears by it.
