A lot of DT’s supporters are Tea Partiers, who align with the GOP when it suits their agenda but owe it no allegiance. If their favorite candidate is denied the nomination, those supporters will abandon the GOP entirely and stay home in November.

I think there is a strong case that the Trumpians will just take it over.
