I’d really like for someone to tell me why, and in what fashion, it ‘looks bad’.

I mean, he’s not IN office. He’s not RUNNING FOR office. He’ll likely never run for office again. He has already done whatever it was he was going to do as President.

He’s a black man who isn’t holding himself to this moral standard that was made up just for him by a bunch of white people. (And yes, I know it’s not ALL white people complaining about this, or solely white people, but the loudest voices have been.) I think there’s also some resentment that has built up by people who are mad that he failed to somehow save us from ourselves and there’s probably some transference of guilt where they can go BUT IF THE CANDIDATE WAS PURER WE WOULDN’T HAVE LOST and pretend they’re free from any and all blame.
