You can do everything right and still catch it. I know more people who have had covid in the last month than in the previous 2 years.

If you have kids who can’t be vaccinated, they’re a vector to everyone else. If you have unvaccinated people, they’re a vector. If you’re undervaccinated (not boosted), you’re a vector.
