Walt - I think the point was poodles (rightly or wrongly) have a reputation of being froo froo dogs, so the “vicious” attack is silly, and makes Jaques Chirac look like he is low on his testosterone levels. Couple that with treating the dog for depression (group therapy?) and it’s even sillier. If you replaced “poodle” with “Rottweiler” and delete the depression treatment, you get a different reaction.

Why, dogs bite, dogs do stupid things, they get made, they maul. Why is this so unusual? I think the article itself is stupid. What if this happened to Bush, would we be making fun of it?
