I’ve been saying this for years, but Charlie Crist is the guy to watch. He’s on the road to the presidency. From Gov to Senate to Pres. I’m not a big Crist fan, only because I’m not a Republican, but he’s not a bad guy. He had a huge approval rating in Florida, up to 73% and that’s among both Right and Left.

It dropped though, down to 44%. I think that had a lot to do with appearance of the Tea Party and more extreme Right. Crist is a conservative’s Conservative, meaning he’s probably too liberal at this point.

I don’t think he’s running for something right now because the Bush name would weigh him down right now. In a few years, when the last Bush presidency has faded more from memory, I think he’ll be back.

As to Charlie Crist, he’s burned his bridges with the Republicans and I don’t know if he can make it as a Democrat.
