The whole issue of the Faulklands is stupid. As it is, the only reason Argentina made an issue about it at all was because the military junta that ruled them with an iron fist in the 70’s and early 80’s used the Faulklands as a way to distract people from the shitty economy and very real social ills in the country at the time.

A government using a war against a trumped-up enemy to distract people? Never heard of that before.
