That’s a good point, but remember that Biden also was heavily criticized for being too strident — and he was actually fairly good-natured about it too. It’s a very tricky line to walk when you start trying to take it to shills like Morano on their own terms, because it can quickly turn into an unpleasant shouting match that nobody wins.

Is it about “winning”, or is about looking like you put up a good fight? That’s one reason Obama got so thoroughly slammed - by his own side - for that infamous first debate. He came across as not willing to put up a fight, and in the shallow reality-TV world we live in, that equals a “loss” even when you have the facts on your side.

And one way to avoid getting drawn into a shouting match is to simply not shout - assume a smiling, laughing, dismissive demeanor like Biden did (naturally the idiot corporate media will spin that negatively, but I note this time, it didn’t work with the public at large).

Even if you don’t “win”, at least you can look like you didn’t “lose”, or let an evil, blathering bully like morano push you around.
