I’m getting downright paranoid about how I store my guns. I keep them in a safe of course. It is inside a locked closet. Those are just standard precautions. Here lately I have taken to keeping a written log in the safe even though I am the only one who can open it. This lists all 8 guns and I make a point of checking them all off each and every time I open the safe. If I remove one I make a note of the reason, “working in field,” or “range practice,” for example. And, yes, I usually do have a gun with me when I am working around the ranch. Ammosexuals might well point an accusing finger and claim that this is the same practice I deride when the open carry kooks engage in at Kroger and Walmart. The difference is that Kroger and Walmart are not infested with feral hogs and rattlesnakes.

What ever the fuck you do, apparently, do not be black and have a CCW and a weapon. Do not move. If asked to get your DL and registration, get them…but don’t move while you are getting them. Also, don’t mention you have a CCW. You will be shot. Of course, the officer will shoot you anyway if he finds you do have a weapon and you didn’t tell him. In fact, just don’t drive at all.
