When I lived in the broadcast reaches of LA, we got ALL the channels (like 12 or so, back then, counting VHF and UHF), here you can’t get anything without cable. When the stations went digital, we were no longer able to get one channel over the radio.
Yeah, you used to be able to get the audio for Channel 6 on one of the lower FM frequencies. I used to listen to the news from the Richmond, VA CBS affiliate that way sometimes.
