Did I hear a report that a Syrian jet was taken down by a U.S. Aircraft over the weekend and now Putin is saying American aircraft are now open targets?

Or is this some kind of a dance by Trump and Putin showing they are not connected in any way?

A US F-18 shot down a Syrian SU-22, and the Russians have countered that they’ll consider any US or allied plane a target West of the Euphrates River. That pretty much makes the western 2/3 of Syria off limits to US aircraft - or at least puts US aircraft in further harm’s way and potentially engaging with Russian aircraft.

Trump’s incompetence will continue screwing over the US all while Putin exercises his will all over the map.
