If Latinos turned out to vote in large numbers, I think it’s not entirely unfair to say the GOP would be consigned to electoral oblivion in TX.

Eventually, yes, TX will turn blue - it’s the GOP’s worst nightmare, because once that happens, they’re going to find it damned difficult to be competitive at the national level.

I’ve said before that eventually, the GOP will be a nativist/white nationalist/white supremacist political party, pretty much confined to the Deep South and the intermountain West, with some pockets of support in places like Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon and rural areas of otherwise blue states.
