The GOP is running six candidates?

Good lord. It some of them don’t drop out before November 5th, I can foresee a situation where they all end up splitting the vote and Markowitz gets an outright win because it’s 50% + 1.

I can’t help but think the GOP is getting increasingly nervous about their prospects in Texas - if they lose Texas, it’s pretty much all over for them as a national party.

Well, six different people running in the GOP sounds just like conservatives to me: All think they are the chosen one of their conservative religion, and none will cede power to others since conservatism is about gaining and maintaining power, never sharing it.

I don’t live in Texas so I don’t know if Ms. Juanita’s assessment is correct, but she is right there to gauge the local mood. Moreover, a whole bunch of Texas Republicans have decided to take a powder. (It appears they seem to think they will lose.)
