Because either they are obviously “god’s gift” or they assume the gay man has an uncontrolled sex drive comparible to theirs and is just not able to control it as well.

Which is, obviously, bullshit. Why would a gay man hit on someone who doesn’t find them sexually attractive? And if they were taking a flyer, why wouldn’t they react as any guy who chats a woman up and she says “Get lost.” does?.

The sad stories are the closeted gay men who are married to women (societal pressure!) and cruise park bathrooms during lunch hour.
