Ugh. I really hope we clearly explained to the new Ukrainian government how much “support” we’re going to lend them. I hope this isn’t like when we encouraged the Kurds to rise up against Sadam and then changed our minds about supporting them. We did the same thing more recently with the Syrian rebels.

You know for a fact that we hung all of the Syrian rebels out to dry? I know we did the deal with Russia to cut back on the use of gas weapons, but I don’t think it is so cut and dry that we have completely stopped backing some of the rebel groups through back channels, etc.
