YEC is not denial of all science, it’s denial of more science that OEC but less than geocentrism or flat-earthism. So there is a continuum of craziness here, and I don’t see why the cut-off point should be at OEC ;)

Part of the problem here is that OEC is not as well-defined as YEC. For example, I believe the Catholic position insists on a divine creation, accepts evolution as the usual way things work, and allows for the possibility of occasional divine tweaking with evolution (but not constantly).

Whether this is OEC or not depends on definitions more than anything else.
