Turkeys in the wild are really cool to see and a sign of sane hunting laws, regulation and conservation. I never saw any growing up;

They are all over the place in Massachusetts and they have no respect for traffic laws ;) Personally I think we have over corrected a bit with turkeys, deer, and coyotes.
