I voiced the opinion yesterday that it feels as though Trump is trying to beat the clock and today seems to just reinforce that impression. As though he knows something monumentally damaging to his presidency is coming soon and he’s trying to rush through as much of his checklist as possible before it does.

Because the only other reality is that the man is so far out of touch with reality that he thinks he can just order something to happen and it will magically be so because he’s president.

Neither scenario is very encouraging.
