re: #107 wheat-dogg
She’ll be OK until she hits late middle age and presbyopia sneaks up on her. I wear contacts to correct near-sightedness, but I use reading glasses occasionally if I’m going to read something for any length of time. The other option is bifocals, which I am trying to forestall as long as possible. I’ve needed glasses since first grade. When I switched to contacts 15 years ago, it was like seeing everything fresh again.
Progressive lenses. I used bifocals for years, then switched over. They take some getting used to, but you’ll never look back.
(The dark side is that they cost a lot more than bifocals. Fortunately, I have good insurance.)
Going to bed now, but I thought I’d mention that.
