I was in the JFK generation, but I wonder if our road didn’t start with J Edgar Hoover, and his suitcase full of issues and nastiness.

Now I read of rumors to the extent that the Mafia had photos of him and his “male companion”. So it would make sense that if Hoover was unable to do anything against organized crime, he would have to take on Commies and leftists and union organizers to show that he was doing something to earn his keep.

The end result is that America has been dominated or under the influence of organized crime ever since. And America is now ruled by an organized crime family with connections to Russian oligarchs.
