Like the US Constitution, impeachment is a political process, not a criminal one.

In Penna., the House impeaches and the Senate convicts. If there are sufficient votes in the Senate, that’s it.

I really dislike the notion that impeachment is simply a political process. It is incredibly dangerous to our system of government. This isn’t a vote of no confidence similar to parliamentary systems. There is a reason the federal constitution says things like “high crimes and misdemeanors” and “for good behavior.” Using impeachment to remove someone because you disagree with their policy or jurisprudence is not the standard we should be setting.
