These people are aware that Tolkein’s writings are - in fact - fiction, aren’t they? That we’re not talking about a documentary film based on actual historical personages?

They are based on a history of a mythical ancient Europe: for that I have more problems with the presence of pumpkins, potatoes and tobacco, all imports from the Americas and unknown to ancient Europeans.
