Blah, damn PHP. Who would expect a function that rounds to the next lowest integer to return a float instead of a integer?

Have you checked the Function Reference in the PHP manual? I usually start there when I get stuck. The user contributed notes can be especially helpful.

As a matter of fact, I even have a keyword set up in FF to search the manual, so all I need to do is type php funtion_name in the address bar and it takes me right to the page I need.
