There is nothing pro-life about supporting the death penalty (the cognitive dissonance of that one amazes me).

The rationale I heard (as in, exact words of an anti-choicer defending her position) was that the fetus is “innocent” while a convicted murderer isn’t. Followed by some fanciful religious rhetoric I don’t recall.
