re: #105 MsJ

I’ve always believed that each person should be allowed to be the master of their domain (their body).

I don’t want anyone I know to come suicide, but every person should make their own decision as to whether they want to deal with what they are talking with.

It’s very sad when someone can’t make a good decision (they are depressed or have other mental health issues) or they can’t get the help they need (or won’t), but forcing someone to live a miserable life, I think, is selfish. Yes, I want that person around and I’ll likely be sad and hurt and angry, but it’s not my life to decide whether I want to cope with whatever they can’t cope with.

I’d that sounds cold is unintentional. I just think that is a decision I can’t make (or really be a part of) for someone else.

It doesn’t sound cold to me, and I’m not trying to imply that we shouldn’t want or try to help someone who’s struggling. I just don’t like the idea of telling someone that their suicidal feelings are selfishness.
