One of the great debates is whether you should stay in your position in government to try to keep it from falling into ruin or do you leave. The problem is, that unless sufficient numbers of people leave that it disables government at all levels (including in places like ICE and CPB), leaving just allows someone corrupt to do the job unimpeded.

If you have any kind of self-respect, you cannot be a part of any organization that has no respect for human rights. If you stay, you are a person who has no respect for human rights. That’s a QED.

If you leave and are replaced by someone who has no respect for human rights, you have done a righteous thing, and eventually, in a righteous world, your replacement will end up in prison.

Sadly, we do not, at the moment, appear to live in a righteous world. We appear to live in a fascist America.
