Yes you are mistaken on several counts. It is you who are suggesting, by a knee jerk, that all Muslims are in the same category as these terrorists, even while they claim they are not. Where did I say they be banned?

You are also suggesting that adding the word religion in front of perversion somehow accords it greater respect than some other perversion.

If a religious belief is used to justify murder then it is a perversion of a kind that is particularly dangerous, just like pedophilia, which we can’t cure either.
